Well, I've only got about an hour to post stuff and check my email. So, like I forwarned you all, the production here at Joe's Mulligan of Life will drop off a bit. But, I expect to get on here most every day, so don't disappear.
My replacement, Aman, was waiting for me to come in. I got a text from James to come in at 6, but I had plans and didn't come in until 7:30. I showed Aman a couple of things of what to do.
The guys had busted his balls before I got there, telling him the same things I've told you all. The job is either going to a short (6 hour) shift or going away entirely. They got Aman kind of paranoid, and when he asked me about it, I told him that though I've not been told anything "officially", I could see the writing on the wall. I did ask him, "Why do you think I would bid off the easiest Teamster job we have, the only one with weekends off every single weekend, for the crap of vacation relief and going to Arden three or four nights a week?" Aman had no answer.
So, the guys had a good laugh about that for a while.
Arden wasn't hard, I had 8 pallets of product that were put in my trailer with a forklift. I did have my head up my ass trying to back in to the stall, it took me at least 15 minutes of fucking around before I managed to get it in. I was all red in the face and sweaty. It sounds like sex, but trust me, it wasn't that much fun.
I did manage to back right in the first time at one of our branches in Campbell, so the day wasn't a total loss.
